What’s in a name

Flagstaff Partners has been named in recognition of the commercial importance of Flagstaff Hill in the nascent colony of Victoria. With its commanding view of Melbourne in 1840 it became the signal station which displayed the flags that announced the arrival and departure of ships and their port of origin, providing vital commercial advice to the citizens of Melbourne.
