EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Karan Chopra

Karan Chopra joined Flagstaff Partners in 2018 and has over 12 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience. Prior to joining Flagstaff Partners, Karan worked at J.P. Morgan for 10 years covering clients across the natural resources, infrastructure, mining services and general industrial sectors. Karan has worked on a broad range of transactions including M&A, secondary equity offerings, high yield and investment grade bond offerings and joint venture structuring.

Karan holds a MBA degree in Finance and also completed Chartered Financial Analyst Level 3 (CFA Institute, USA).

Adviser to Transfield Services on A$575m acquisition of Easternwell from Ironbridge and on the associated A$294m equity offering and the A$915m refinancing of existing debt facilities

Adviser to Energy Resources of Australia on its A$476m entitlement offer (2020) and A$500m entitlement offer (2011)

Adviser to Atlas Iron on the US$267m restructuring of its Institutional Term Loan into a new longer tenure loan and a debt for equity swap

Adviser to Paladin Energy on the US$300m convertible bond issuance and concurrent tender offer; A$61m strategic placement to HOPU and A$144m entitlement offer

Adviser to Fortescue Metals on the US$2bn US Bond issuance
